I’d planned to bring these to YouTube eventually, and then in November and December felt a bit of extra nudge, when a few people all at once mentioned feeling them in a powerful way or feeling my energy in a strong way. It felt like the time to bring time and presence back to this space.

So in December, I brought the imaginings into a more typical podcast stream, recorded some new ones for individuals, re-recorded another I’d posted in the past for an audio quality boost, decided to add tarot-inspired imaginings as a delightful new texture in the mix, and felt myself leaning nearer a first YouTube video. Yet I thought I still needed to learn more to put together even a simple meditation-like video, and while a friend, in kismet-burst, had come in that was going to help me, the time for that hadn’t yet been right.

Then two nights ago, I had a rush of something else. I thought maybe I’d start with a tarot-inspired flow and just film on top of the desk I have from my grandma, which she used in her own childhood, its worn green wood splattered with milk stains, lit with candles; lit with stillness. And maybe even do the same for the ones without tarot cards, to still use that desktop with a few other small things on it. Less interesting than a cinematic video, sure, but more me, with my books, my candles, my desk that I love. My hands. My lo-fi all. : ) And more fitting for something not really meant to be about the video itself. The idea felt resonant, and rich, so yesterday I recorded a tarot imagining in this way, to share as the first video on the YouTube channel. It’s a bit different from the others I’ve created so far, and I welcome the textured variety. Like many/most of them, it’s a specific thread of opening, which won’t be meant for everyone.

I’ll keep putting each meditative imagining on the Imagine + Flow audio podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc. (+ at the same time, Substack too) as well as YouTube. So listen/watch where you’d like, if you’d like.

This first offering is one I made for someone in the past, and today I rerecorded it here. In this case, the words weren’t coming to me for the first time as I spoke them, with a more tumbling, organic, slow cadence of imagination and voice I think I prefer. But I like marking this beginning by touching back into the past; and I hope you feel deep care threaded through this nonetheless.

I made this originally for someone who is (probably) not you, but I gave it new life for you. I hope you feel some softness, some fullness, within it that you can claim for your own. And if you like this sort of thing, please subscribe for more.

P.S. I’m a big fan of quiet stillness and think this sort of thing would be nicer while sitting still or lying down, with eyes closed. But of course, listen however you like. :)
